Update from the administrator 4/6/23
DATE: 04/06/2023
Dear Residents, Families and Representatives,
I’m happy to report that we have not had any resident COVID cases since 4/4/23. We continue to test residents twice per week in addition to rapid tests as needed.
We had one additional staff person test positive from Tuesday’s testing and they are without symptoms. The total number of COVID-19 cases in this outbreak is 28 residents and 16 staff. We continue to provide numbers for the entire community to keep everyone informed.
The outbreak is slowing and residents are recovering and most are coming off precautions this week. We have 4 residents that will remain on precautions until their 10 days are up next week. We are still at risk of additional cases popping up and we will remain in outbreak status until we are able to go 14 days with no new cases. We will let you know when we are able to start opening things up again.
Visitors are allowed. They should continue to use caution when visiting and use all recommended personal protective equipment, good hand hygiene and keep a good distance for other residents and staff. Outdoor visits are a great idea if the warm weather decides to show up and actually sticks around!
I will continue to keep you informed as we work our way through this outbreak. Be sure to reach out if you have any questions or if there is something we can do to help you stay in touch with your loved ones.
Sincerely,
Linda Smith LNHA
