Update from the Administrator 4-10-2023
DATE: 04/10/2023
Dear Residents, Families and Representatives,
I’m happy to report that tests are in from all of last week and we have not had any new resident COVID cases. Our last positive staff test was on 4/04/23. This is good news and it is looking like our outbreak is coming under control. The last positive resident will come off of precautions on 4/12/23 if all goes well. Testing of residents and staff will continue through this week and into the following week. If we have no further positive tests we will be out of outbreak status. We will let you know when we open things up again.
Visitors should continue to use caution and use all recommended personal protective equipment, good hand hygiene and keep a good distance from other residents and staff. If a visitor has any symptoms of COVID-19 they must postpone their visit until they are feeling better. If a visitor has been in the facility and then develops symptoms and tests positive within 3 days of the visit please notify us immediately. It is critical to take action as soon as we know or believe a resident has been exposed to the virus. It helps us reduce the chance of a full blown outbreak! COVID-19 is a challenging virus to contend with. Oftentimes people will have no symptoms at the beginning of their infection yet are able to transmit the virus to others.
I will continue to keep you informed as we work our way through this outbreak. Be sure to reach out if you have any questions or if there is something we can do to help you stay in touch with your loved ones.
Sincerely,
Linda Smith LNHA
