Happy New Year!! We hope 2018 is a great year for everyone.
We begin by recognizing our friends who celebrate their birthdays this month: Lewis, Doris, Mary, Steve and Lillian.
We want to thank everyone who helped make this Christmas extra special for us. We were so surprised by the wonderful gifts that were under the tree for each of us on Christmas. One of the Elves told us our great community is behind the gifts, and we wanted to let you know we had a wonderful Christmas!
Over the month many community groups, churches, volunteers and schools came to decorate, sing carols, share their Christmas programs and play the music of the season for us. We had the chance to go and see the beautiful display of lights that the fine folks of Sparta had at the park. The museum had a great 1950s Christmas display as well, and if you haven’t seen it yet, there is still time until January 13th. You really should check this out. Those of us that went, had a great time reminiscing and talking with others in the museum! The staff, some volunteers and other friends of the area came together to put on a great Christmas show for us too! We had a visit by Santa, Frosty, Rudolph and more at this show. We also loved watching the movie Christmas Vacation as a group, many laughs filled the room.
We are all too old to make any New Year’s Resolutions, but we did talk about some we made in the past. We are hopeful we will not get any colder nor get too much snow, but of course, we do live in Wisconsin!
Happy New Year!
