We begin as always by saying Happy Birthday to our friends: Patrick, Izy, Elvera, Betty, Doris, Bernie and Janice.
We always want to thank those who do so much for us. This includes the entertainers, animals and owners, school children, Pastors and church groups, Lion’s Club members, Tuesday and Saturday morning bingo volunteers, shopping volunteers and anyone that comes to our home. We appreciate you!
On a cold winter day last month, we had a new activity, Hot chocolate, coffee and Conversations. This was a great thing to do on a cold day and we had a great time laughing and talking! In January we were also sad to take down all the holiday decorations. We did have a great time enjoying a movie and pizza though! We must be hungry as we write this, as we began to talk about breakfast club, another favorite thing for us to join in. The activity staff make great pancakes and eggs for us and it seems like we are at the diner when we eat in the corner café those days. In the winter months we “Come and Learn” for educational presentations. This past month we learned about the Rocky Mountain National Park. It was neat to explore the parks website to learn more about the animals that live there as well as listening and watching the presentation offered. We learned some interesting facts about the park, the animals and the history of how it became a National Park.
We begin to think of Valentine’s Day and how we used to make our own Valentine’s for our special someone. Some of us are also excited for the upcoming winter Olympics and super bowl. We hope you all enjoy your February.
