We would like to wish our friends Sue, Brian, Karl, Alvina and Judy a Happy Birthday this December. We have just finished decorating a Christmas tree before we began to write this and are excited to see all the holiday decorations, lights and trees this season. We had a split group in what kind of tree each of us put up in our homes, real or fake. Many of us took turns putting ornaments on the tree and talking about some of our holiday traditions and ornaments that we had. We were told we are going to have community groups coming this holiday season to put up decorations with us, carol to us and to entertain us. We look forward to all of you coming into our home. Be sure you walk around because we put up a lot of trees in our home! We hope that all of you reading this have a very Merry Christmas!
We then discussed how we enjoyed our 1st visit with the 4th grade students of Meadowview. They came and got to know us and then created a Turkey decoration for us as well. We enjoy their smiley faces and energy they bring and are looking forward to their monthly visits.
A Veteran in our group talked about the nice meal that was held at the VFW for Veteran’s Day. The meal was great and it was a nice program. Those that went were honored and appreciated the event.
One day in November it was national fast food day so we opted to go to Culver’s for lunch. The staff is always so friendly and helpful there and the food is also really good. That led to a conversation about the food in our home and we were thankful for the wonderful Thanksgiving Day meal.
We do hope you all enjoy this upcoming busy season!
