Update from the Administrator 3-25-23
DATE: 03/25/2023
Dear Residents, Families and Representatives,
I have additional COVID-19 cases to report. We had 1 additional resident test positive today bringing the total residents with COVID to 15. We had 2 additional staff also test positive for COVID bringing our staff count to 4 in the past week. Tests conducted on Friday, 3/23 are still in process. We will conduct additional testing of residents and staff throughout the coming week to continue to identify additional cases.
Infection control measures are in place and we are doing our best to stop further spread of the virus. Nursing staff are monitoring residents’ health closely to catch symptoms early in those who have not tested positive and also to provide good care to residents with COVID.
Residents may still have visitors, however, it is important to understand that there is significant risk of being exposed to COVID. Visitors that still choose to come into the facility should be very cautious and follow all safety guidelines including wearing a mask over your nose and mouth at all times, hand sanitizing before and after visiting and maintaining a safe distance from other residents and staff. Residents with COVID should not go out into the community until they have recovered and are no longer considered to be contagious.
We can assist with phone or video calls and extra letters are a great way to stay in touch if you aren’t able to visit in person. Please contact the social worker or the unit staff if you want to coordinate a call.
If you have any questions or concerns please reach out.
Stay well,
Linda Smith LNHA
