Update from the Administrator 12-30-2020
DATE: 12/29/2020
Dear Residents, Families and Representatives,
All resident COVID tests were negative from Monday 12/28/2020! We had one staff person test positive for COVID-19 on 12/24 and a second test positive on 12/27. Neither of the two staff worked with residents and both did not have symptoms when tested. They are both off work and isolating at home. Any employees with exposure to the positive staff are off work on quarantine.
All staff tested on 12/28 were negative. Staff will be tested again on 12/31.
We will continue with testing staff twice per week and residents once per week while the Monroe County rate of infections remain high.
Our first COVID-19 vaccination clinic will be held on January 7th. Walgreens will be on-site giving the Moderna Vaccine to residents and staff who wish to receive it. We are getting consents back for residents and entering their information. Thank you to those who have already returned the consents! If you haven’t returned consents yet please let us know if you/ your resident want to receive the vaccination! Please respond to the email or call the facility to speak to the social worker or nurse to get your resident on the list. This vaccination requires two doses to get the best immune response. The second flu clinic is scheduled for February 8th. If the resident is unable to get the vaccine on the first date they will be able to start the series on February 8th. The final scheduled clinic date is March 11th for the second dose for those who had the first dose in February.
Please reach out with any questions!
Sincerely,
Linda Smith NHA
