Update from the Administrator 1/6/22
DATE: 01/06/2022
Dear Residents, Families and Representatives,
We received notification last night of an additional staff positive test result from Monday, January 3rd testing and 2 staff positives from Tuesday testing. All residents tested on Monday were negative and all of the residents will be tested today. We will continue testing and closely monitoring staff and residents for signs and symptoms of COVID-19. The staff testing positive have had mild or no symptoms and have been fully vaccinated. The increased testing is catching people that may not have been identified otherwise. All staff that test positive for coronavirus are taken off of work until they complete the appropriate isolation period. Our goal is to prevent the spread of the disease to residents, staff and visitors. The critically high level of virus in our community has made this task very challenging!
Residents may still have visitors, however, wearing of surgical masks during all visits is required. Rolling Hills can provide surgical masks to visitors when they arrive if a visitor does not have their own. We ask that everyone use good hand hygiene and refrain from close contact with other residents and staff. Please postpone visits if you aren’t feeling well or have had a known exposure to anyone who is sick. We are always happy to assist with phone calls and video visits if you aren’t able to visit in person!
We will continue to follow all health and safety protocols to help prevent spread of the illness within our building. I will keep you informed of any other developments. Please reach out with any questions or concerns!
Stay well,
Linda Smith NHA
