Update from the Administrator 2-16-22
DATE: 02/16/2022
Dear Residents, Families and Representatives,
We had one staff person test positive for COVID during testing on Monday, 2/14/22. All residents and all other staff tested 2/10 – 2/14 were negative for COVID-19. We will continue to test all staff twice per week until we have 14 days with no new cases. Residents will be tested on a targeted basis in response to exposure risk, symptoms or an increase in staff or resident cases.
We are seeing a decline in the number of new cases in Monroe County which is hopeful. Wearing masks when out in public, hand washing and maintaining distance from others helps reduce your risk of becoming infected. Vaccines have been proven to significantly reduce the risk of serious illness and death if you contract COVID-19. If you are due for a booster shot, I strongly recommend you get one. Over time the protection of the vaccine or a previous infection wanes. To have the best protection stay current on all recommended vaccines.
As always, please reach out with any questions or concerns!
Stay well,
Linda Smith NHA
