Update from the Administrator 11-6-2020
DATE: 11/06/2020
Dear Residents and Representatives,
Residents tested for COVID-19 November 2nd and 3rd have all tested negative for the virus! We have not had any residents test positive since October 5th.
We were notified that we had one staff member test positive on October 29th and all staff testing on November 2nd and 3rd have tested negative. The positive staff member had quarantined at home following a known exposure. There were no exposures to residents or staff.
These are good results but we can’t become complacent. The virus is spreading rapidly in our area and we will stay vigilant. Daily screening and monitoring of residents will continue. Staff will be tested twice weekly and residents once weekly until the positivity rate for Monroe County declines. If residents have symptoms they will be tested immediately. Universal use of masks and face shields will continue and additional protective equipment used for any symptomatic residents and new admissions,
I will continue to keep you updated on the status of resident and staff test results. Please reach out if you have questions or concerns. Thank you for your support and understanding during this time.
Sincerely,
Linda Smith NHA
Administrator
