Update from Administrator 10-20-20
DATE: 10/20/2020
Dear Residents and Representatives,
Residents and staff tested for COVID-19 from October 15th through October 16th have all tested negative for the virus. We were notified this week that two staff members tested positive since then. Both staff members were on quarantine due to exposure from the community and have not worked in the building for more than two weeks. The good news is that because of this quarantine procedure there is no risk of transmission to residents or other staff.
One of our residents who tested positive the week of October 5th has fully recovered. The remaining two residents are still symptomatic and we are hoping for a full recovery for them both soon. Our total number of positive cases since the pandemic started has been 3 residents and 15 staff members.
We will continue testing staff twice per week while Monroe County remains in the red category for the positive test rate. We will continue in outbreak status until we have 14 days with no new resident or staff positive tests. Residents will be tested at least once per week going forward. Additional testing for residents may be done if we deem it necessary following any positive test results or potential exposures. Our goal is to identify any positive individuals quickly and put measures into place to prevent further spread.
Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns!
Sincerely,
Linda Smith NHA
